This is awe inspiring! It has such lush green texture with speckles of contrast to really make it pop! The variance in lighting and contrast truly give a sense of depth. Nicely done!

I'm a little bit confused on the title and intended idea of the piece though. The title suggests to me a familiar warm place (home) in the forest. In contrast, the children are clearly hesitant to enter. This says to me that it is likely not their home. This beautiful artwork suggests fear, mystery, adventure and foreboding which I don't associate with home.

I get a sense of fear from the children's stance and a bit of foreboding from the dark entrance. With no light emanating from the inside, it makes me wonder. Is it that there are no inhabitants or do the inhabitants prefer the darkness? The roots near the entry resemble a gnarled hand ready to grasp any who get too close. The taller stones resemble grave markings from those who dared to venture inside. Also, some of the trees have a slight slant away from the direction the light is coming as opposed to reaching out for the light. This adds to the overall eerie feel.

Please forgive me, if I've completely misinterpreted what you are trying to convey. Perhaps some warm lights emitting from the entrance, and the children racing to the entrance would have made this feel more like home?

Overall, this spectacular creation invokes a strong emotional impact on me. Furthermore, the quality and technique are amazing. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="=D" title="=D (Big Grin)"/> I love it!
